并非矛盾
有尊严的公民生活，是个人享有掌握自己命运的权力。他／她只接受一个由自己和同胞选举出来的政府的领导，接受自己的代表制定的法律的管辖；同时他／她也保留有自己的一片私人空间，一片任何政权无权监管的空间。
这里的意志自由／尊严生活涉及的是政治层面而不是社会层面：就算他／她希望对自己的行为负责，他／她仍然要继续生活在他人建构的空间里，是关系网中的一结。在今天这样一个数位网络时代就更是如此。
